If you’ve ever gone to the gym during the week after new years, you’ve likely found it packed wall to wall with well meaning dieters who made a pact with themselves to lose weight.
And if you happened to go back to that same gym, at the same time a couple months later, you would have noticed as startling drop in exercisers. I would seem that all those gung-ho would be weight losers suddenly lost their motivation.
What’s going on here? If you have any kind of weight issue whatsoever, you know the difference between the motivation at the beginning of a diet and exercise plan, and the motivation only a few days later. It usually vanishes completely after another week or so.
Even if you start out with the best intentions, it can be near impossible to keep your motivation high on willpower alone. So what do we do about this?
One easy way around this problem is to just make small, consistent changes, rather than big, life changing ones. They will easier to take, and easier to keep up.
People that suddenly start going to the gym every night after work will soon find themselves coming up with a million reasons why not to do so after a week.
Some experts believe the reason for this is that most people simply don’t like change. Even if it’s for the better, we seem to have a strong desire to stick to the same routine.
But if you make small, easy changes, you’ll notice that they easily start to become part of your daily, comfortable routine. And the more you consistently add in small changes to your daily routine, your daily routine can change dramatically over a few weeks or months.
And after a few weeks or months of consistent small adjustments, working out every day, eating healthy, and having men lust after your sexy body will be automatic.
