Neck pain is a common problem suffered by people with hectic work-life schedules that involves sitting in front of a computer for long periods of hours, repetitive typing on the keyboard, driving and experiencing a whiplash from a recent car accident, or having incorrect neck posture or making sudden movements that could sprain or strain the neck muscles.

However, in our technologically advanced and fast paced society where people tend to depend a great deal on computers and other devices such as notepads and mobile phones in order to do their work, most often suffer from neck pain due to the stress and pressure put on the neck muscles resulting in muscles tightening, becoming stiff or sometimes weakening.

Although neck pain usually goes away within a few days without requiring a lot of treatment however severe to chronic neck pain that lasts for more than a few weeks, causing headaches, stiffness or soreness in the neck muscles and limits your ability to move your head or do your job, can become a cause for concern and may require a medical check up to find out the cause of the pain.
