There are different reasons why women wish to have breast enhancement surgeries. Others feel more feminine with the added curves; others do it for an advancement in their entertainment career. Some needed to get the operation because of medical reasons, while some desire it because it boosts their confidence.

If you are considering of getting a breast enlargement, ask yourself some questions first. Why do you want it? It can be because of medical reasons, cosmetic reasons, or maybe you only need a little push up to increase your confidence. Whatever made you decide to have it, make sure it’s what you like and not because others would wish you to have it. This may sound like a lecture, but it’s your body thus you and only you have the right to decide what you like with it.
Also, ask yourself if you are in perfect health before going through this. Some undergo this procedure because they have had mastectomy, or the surgical removal of one or both breasts, due to cancer in some case. But if you are getting breast augmentation procedure because of other reasons, then make sure you are completely healthy. The operation, as like any other operations, is risky. Depending on the process, you are either going to be sliced open and implanted with enhancer silicone or saline, or you are going to be injected with an enhancement substance. Whichever method you select, you would need to be in good health to be able to physically recover from the process.
What size suits you? You may have the perfect cup size in mind, a triple D no less! But is it right for your body frame? You are going to get some additional burden on you, which your body isn’t used to. If you have a thin body frame, a big cup size might be too bulky for you. It could lead to further health problems. Ask a medical professional which size is right for your frame. Look at before and after photos of other patients who have undergone the surgery as well, just to give you an idea of what an additional cup size may look on you.
Is your doctor licensed to operate the procedure? You never know, but there are those dubious plastic surgeons that perform lousy jobs on patients. Ask others for referrals and go to a trusty surgeon. They may cost a little more but taking risks with your body isn’t worth it.
Do you have the time and patience to follow up your surgery with regular check ups? This stage is not optional, it’s required. Don’t get breast enhancement surgery if you can’t have post-operation check ups. This will help identify if your new breasts are getting problem or if your body is reacting well to them. You can have it annually or every after a few years. The important thing is, get regular appointment at the doctor’s office because your wellness depends on it.
