Alright…so think back. Do you remember how I was telling you the other day that I was impressed that even though I’m known for having a “daily routine” I hadn’t yet forgotten to weigh myself in the morning as required during prescription HCG therapy for weight loss? Well it’s finally happened. Today I totally forgot to weigh myself.

I’ve got no idea why; I think I just got too comfortable and forgot that I had to consciously remember to do the things that are making the diet work.

So I’ve got no weight change to report.
It’s Thursday. The weekend is coming up and I’ve got a few functions to attend in the near future that I’m a little stressed about.

My kids are now asking me if stuff that I’m contemplating in the kitchen is “on my diet” so that’s helpful (even if it is extremely vexing). It is kind of lowering to have an 8 year old and a 9 year old remind you to stick to your diet periodically.

My kids have started to get involved. They ask me if stuff that I am contemplating in the kitchen is “on my diet.” That’s helpful (even if it is extremely vexing…alright…I’ll be honest. It’s massively irritating). It is kind of belittling to have an eight year old and a nine year old reminding you to stick to your guns because you’re supposed to be dieting.

After I got the kids off to school, I took my HCG injection and my B-Total and then picked up the cookbook to flip through it and pick a few new recipes to try. That way I could get the ingredients while I was out at the store.

I decided to get stuff so I could try Chicken Asparagus Soup, Turkey Tomato Soup and Orange Cremesicle. And on top of that I knew I was low on fruits and vegetables so I visited the produce section for those items as well.

Plus Walmart doesn’t have the Melba Toast Spicy 3 Pepper variety. So that’s enough reason right there for me to stick to my local grocer. I guess you never know what’s going to be important. I should probably leave a “suggestion” in the Walmart suggestion box. Maybe the buyer would add it to the next order just for me, but I doubt it!

I ended up making Turkey and Tomato soup for lunch. It didn’t sound good when I was reading the recipe, but I really liked how it turned out. I put in a little bit of fresh herbs since I had them in the garden, but other than that I followed the recipe to the tee.

I added some Melba Toast (original flavor…I thought I’d try them for dipping and scooping in the soup). And I saved my fruit so I could snack on an apple mid-afternoon.

I had Filet Mignon for dinner. I pulled the bacon off prior to cooking and then cooked it up separately to give to my kids. They love bacon. (Who doesn’t, right?) The Filet Mignon was really good. I hadn’t had beef in a bit and I was apparently craving it! For my vegetable I had steamed cabbage. I know most people don’t have a liking for this vegetable, but I’ve got a strange preference for it so I thought it was great with a little salt and a lot of pepper.

I’ll have to try the Orange Cremesicle recipe on another day after I go out and buy a blender.

Before we get started with the Prescription HCG business…Happy Thanksgiving! So do you agree with me now? We totally chose the absolute most perfect day to start the prescription HCG diet. Thanksgiving went really well.

I kept to the HCG rules for weight loss exactly AND I enjoyed all the traditional Thanksgiving Day items. It was heavenly.

1st thing thie morning I weighed myself (after I woke up, that is). I took my HCG injection and then did my oral B-Total drops. That done…I started wtih cinnamon rolls for breakfast. And I didn’t even limit myself to one since it’s a loading day. I had 2!

During the loading days you’re supposed to eat a lot of high fatty foods items. And when it comes to fatty foodsty items, cinnamon rolls place kind of high up on the charts. It was the perfect beginning for a loading day. After breakfast I made an applie pie for the Thanksgiving gathering. I had spiced apples during the process, of course. Thanksgiving being in progress guaranteed that there were lots of tasty items around the house for me to include in my ‘loading.’

So loading wasn’t a problem. I just let myself reach for whatever was available in the vicinity while I helped get the BIG dinner ready for the afternoon celebration. I was definitely not having a problem loading.

Since one of the common mistakes cited by HCG Diet Direct is that dieters don’t load enough fat into their two loading days I was glad that I wasn’t having a problem. It seems that if you don’t get enough fat in the first two days of the diet (the loading days) then you will have problems with headaches, crankiness and hunger throughout the very low calorie portion of the diet.

I don’t want any of those things to make it harder for me to stick to the diet. So I’m doubly glad that I did a great job of loading. i think it will be hard enough to stick to the tough rules of the diet without adding any more trouble to the pot.

Because it is Thanksgiving I am going to say that the prescription HCG plan appears to be a total piece of “pie.” I had Thanksgiving dinner with my loved ones. I ate (and enjoyed) all the traditionally wonderful items (mashed potatoes and gravy, ham, turkey, casserole, corn on the cob, pie, pie and more pie). And don’t think I only tried one of the available pies. I tasted each one in turn. It was really tasty and the perfect way to end my 2nd day of loading. Now I’m ready to start the VLCD portion of the diet. We begin tomorrow!

With the obesity epidemic believed to affect over 50% of the planets population, the time of ‘fad diets’ and ‘lose weight quick programs’ has increased in popularity. From the cabbage diet to the Zone Diet to the 48 Hour Miracle diet, every single one of these weight loss diets all claim to promote immediate weight loss and experience increased metabolic activity.

But do they work?

No… Aside from helping you to achieve quick water weight loss, the vast majority of dieters have revealed minimal weight loss reduction of just 1-4lbs before hitting a plateau.

More disappointingly, once dieters stopped eating these dietary fad meals they soon regained all the weight they lost.

Can they harm your health?

Whilst many celebrity fads can help slimmers to experience fast weight losses, almost all of them are not safe for the foreseeable future

Limiting the amount of key nutrients required to ensure your organs is working at optimal levels, many involve lowering your calorie content to below 1,000 calories a day – if not less – more than 50% your nutritional allowance.

Accompanied by heavy sessions in the gym and unrelenting calorie checking, most of these diets run the health risk of leaving you feeling weak, fatigued, unable to think straight and more worryingly prevent your body from working efficiently – None of which are good for your long term health and ultimately your future ability to lose weight.

Are they easy to spot?

Fad diets are easier to spot than you imagine. Promoting a ‘quick fix’ solution to your body concerns, you can easily spot a fad diet by their:

* Too good to be true claims

* Minimal of clinical trials

* Removal of one if not more of the five food groups

* Recommendations from trials without reviews from other researchers

When picking a dietary fad or dietary pill, it is essential to deeply analyse their benefits first before adding them into your diet. If there is no proof that they can promote quality weight loss results, then they are too good to be true.

There is a strong chance that you are overweight. Either because you clicked on the title of article, or simply because over two thirds of adult Americans are overweight or obese, odds are you could lose a few pounds.

It’s not secret that the more advanced and developed a country gets, the fatter the people become. The U.S.A. Australia, Great Britain and other so called “developed” countries are filled with fat people. Even in China, child obesity is becoming a problem.

Before we start figuring out what to do about it, we should figure out why so many people are so fat. Certainly people a hundred years ago weren’t fat, so what happened?

For one thing, we don’t work as hard as we used to. Most people nowadays can work a pretty easy job, sitting at a desk, taking the elevator up and down, and not even getting up off the couch to change the channel on the TV. So that’s one reason we’re so fat. We don’t get enough exercise.

And another clear reason that so many of us need to put in a heroic effort to button our pants every morning is the stuff we eat day in an day out. Filled with chemicals, preservatives, and other stuff that belongs in laboratory, the food we eat today can’t really be all that healthy.

And supposing you head outside for a bite to eat, which is more common, fresh fruit and vegetable stands everywhere, or the golden arches? Yep. And these places are filled with the least nutritious, most fatty foods you can imagine.

And if you are ever hungry, and you go shopping, where are you more likely to head, the cucumber section, or the frozen food microwave section? Or that section of most supermarkets today where they have food that is just as bad as fast food, but smells so good?

Another reason, one that isn’t talked about too much is that all those big companies that make all this processed food may actually want you to stay fat. The more we eat that junk, the harder it is to resist. And the more money they make.

While I wouldn’t go so far as to say they designed our whole nation of fat people with profit in mind, but their sure are a lot of people making a lot of money off of people that can’t resist stopping by the donut shop on their way home from work.

Of course, it can be extremely hard to lose weight with all this stacked against us. Resist fast food, get exercise, and eat healthy. But that is much easier said than done.
